Application for funding for Scientific Research
Applications for a scientific research grant from Epiderm will be required to provide the following details:
TITLE OF SCIENTIFIC RESEARCH PROJECT
- (a) The names of the Chief Investigators and any Co-investigators.
(b) Person nominated for correspondence, including address and telephone contact details.
- A curriculum vitae, including publications and previous research experience of the applicants (principal investigators).
- The institution where project will be undertaken.
- Details of any other grants held or applied for relating to this particular grant application.
- The aims of the project, including background information to establish the rationale for the project and also a statement on the potential significance of the project.
- A research plan. This should include methodology in data collection as well as analytical methods.
- Approval from an appropriate institutional ethics review committee.
- A budget broken down into the particular items required.
- A written justification of the budget.
- Projected dates of commencement and conclusion.
On conclusion of the project, a typed report shall be submitted to Epiderm, indicating in summary the outcome of the research. If there were difficulties during the project that prevented satisfactory completion, a justification for these difficulties must be provided.
There should be appropriate acknowledgment of the source of grant made in any publication or presentations that occur as a result of the work. |
